Description :
I need to come up with a sharp looking website that can be informative and also process orders for the book and related merchandise.

Here\\\'s the Amazon listing.
Amazon.com: Nearfall: Book One - The Adventures of Matt and Mike: Joe Reasbeck: Books

This is the first of a 4 book series...the second book is to going to be released late summer/early fall of this year.

I have most of the content and jpgs needed. Here are the components that I am looking for...you might have some additional suggestions:

1. About the series--pictures of the book, testimonials
2. About the author
3. Book signing schedule
4. How to schedule a book signing
5. How to order in bulk to get a discount and who to contact.
6. Perhaps snipets of the book or \\\"read the first chapter\\\"??
7. Merchandise--hats, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts...(I have all the jpgs)
8. A paper or discussion...or list of links on the importance of reading for children and teens
9. An interview with the author on why connecting sports with reading is an important avenue to reach kids.
10. A way to update/add merchandise and alter pricing
11. A complete list of testimonials, powerfully packaged in a nice font.
12. The ability to order the book, gift cards and other merchandise via credit card.
13. photo gallery and ability for others to submit their coolest photos
14. Announcements/press releases and News--- this would include articles and reviews and include #3
15. A reader/fan forum
16. Mailing list sign-up....place pre-orders for NearFall Book Two and receive a newsletter
17. FAQ
18. Tests for home schooling and Accelerated reader programs
19. Links to NearFall social networking sites...MySpace, FaceBook etc...
20. Contact author

Obviously, many of these categories can be consolidated to a few and then have a pull down menu of some sort. Regarding look and feel.... some sort of cross/combination between an author website like Home | The Official James Patterson Web Site or StephenKing.com: Welcome and Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister Co. I like the FUBU, Sean John and Rocawear sites but there is such a big dose of Flash that I\\\'m looking to do something simpler/cleaner like the Abercrombie site. In short it needs to be \\\"cool.\\\" I think the cool factor helps kids overcome their resistence to being associated with a book.

Also, because the above authors have a much, much larger body of work, the emphasis isn\\\'t on me, it\\\'s on the book...almost like the book is a movie....like this Rocky site. Rocky Balboa \\\"One of the Greatest Sports Novels\\\" etc...

Perhaps you have a template that accomplishes those objectives?

Sincerely,

Joe Reasbeck
Deliverables :
I want the code and all access to the web-site, with it properly notated---just in case you get hit by a bus.
Ownership :
I\\\'ll own the delverables and intellectual property and content of my site.
Support :
I might be interested in on-going support to handle product updates, book releases feature updates, etc... However, the site access and ability to change products or prices needs to be simple enough that a moron like myself could do it.
