When a project is posted on Freelance Programming, service
providers will begin to bid to work on it. The decision of which service
provider should work on the project ( if any ) and when to select them is
entirely in the control of the project owner.
The service provider selection process is helped by the
following information available to a Freelance Programming project owner:
- Bid proposal is entered by the bidder and is a description of what the
service provider is prepared and able to offer the project.
- Professional profile of every service provider that bids on a project can be viewed.
This is a statement of the service provider’s experience, technical
expertise and working practices.
- Feedback is submitted by project owners that a service provider has worked with.
These can be viewed and are an independent statement of the quality of work
the service provider has delivered in the past.
When a project owner has chosen their service provider
selection of that provider is performed as follows:
- Go to “My account”.
- Go to “View my projects”.
- Select the project to be closed.
- In the project view window go to the bidder that you wish to select as the
service provider and click “Select as a service provider”.
- Confirm in confirmation screen.
The bidder will then be
notified by email and asked to confirm that they still wish to work on the
project. If they confirm you will be emailed their contact details and work can
begin on the project. This is where the involvement of Freelance Programming
ends and you are both free to communicate about the project outside the
Freelance Programming forum.
If the bidder declines to
work on the project you will be advised to select another service provider. When
a service provider declines to honour a bid, a “bad bid” mark is placed
against their professional profile. |
